Arthur was going to have to figure out some outfit that both could stand up to the speed of his swimming and did not look horrible when he showed up on the beach. He did not exactly have the kind of savings that stood up to getting a new outfit every week. But he did not have the time to figure it out now, and he was going to meet a woman whose name was in twenty-foot letters on the outside of one of the tallest buildings in Gotham, so he simply winced as his card took the hit and he got himself a nice pair of slacks and a button up shirt. The effect was slightly ruined by his waterproof shoes, but he could not make himself drop thirty bucks on a pair of loafers. He just had to hope she would not mind - or better yet, not notice. He tried to get his hair looking someone neat in the store's mirror, and walked out wearing his purchases.

The Kane Co. building was not hard to find at all, which Arthur counted as a blessing. The woman at the front desk double-took when he asked to see Katherine Kane, but apparently she had been good to her word; he was given a pass and directed towards the elevators. It seemed to take forever for the elevator to get to the right floor - he wondered how high up he must be at this point - but it finally let him out. He made it to a nice room where a secretary sat outside an even nicer door. He cleared his throat awkwardly, shifting from foot to foot.

"I'm here to see Katharine Kane? My name's Arthur Curry."

It does not take him that long to get to Metropolis, all things considered. He does have to take a time out once he gets there to dry off, so he does not ruin his Mapquest directions when he pulls them out of his waterproof wallet. One he has gotten to the point where he is mostly dry, he heads off through the streets. At least the downtown area is easy to find. After a few turn arounds, he finally makes it to the Iris Foundation building.

He hesitates outside the door, not entirely sure if he wants to do this. If they found where Atlantis was, that would just speed everything up, force him in its direction; he barely had any training yet, and he doubted reading Shakespeare was really what he needed to do. But the lure of finding his homeland overpowered that fear. If they found Atlantis, well, he would just have to do whatever he could to save it.

Or maybe even die trying.

That sounded over-dramatically brave, even to himself. He shakes his head to clear it of such foolishness and pushes the door open. "Chloe-?"

Arthur walks out on the beach, gazing out at the sea as he waits for Dolphin. Even though he is starting to get used to everything being completely unexplainable, this makes him nervous, for some reason. He steps out into the water, letting it wash over his feet, trying to get himself to relax. The other AC could do this, so he could too. Maybe.

Perhaps that was the problem. If he could not do this for some reason, he was not even as good a hero, or whatever, as his other self. And that would just suck.

Still, there had been the dolphins- he stops. Maybe that was what Dolphin was talking about? The empathy he felt with them, drawing him to their pool, the knowledge, like dream logic, that they were in a bad place and wanted to be free-

He chews his lip, looking back to see if he could spot Dolphin.
